Chicken Caldereta Slow Cooker – Pinoy Media Blog Cooking Recipes

Chicken Caldereta Slow Cooker Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds of chicken pieces
1 can tomato sauce
3 medium potatoes, cut into chunks
3 medium carrots, sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, cut into cubes
1 cup chicken broth
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 medium red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 can Vienna sausage, sliced
1 cup Cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 pieces bay leaves
salt and pepper

How To Make Chicken Caldereta Slow Cooker:

1. Add a few chopped onions and minced garlic at the bottom of a slow cooker then arrange the chicken pieces. Add the rest of the garlic and onions.
2. Add the bay leaves, cayenne pepper, tomato sauce, and chicken broth. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
3. After 3 hours, remove excess oil before adding the potatoes and carrots. Cover and cook for an hour or until the vegetables are tender.
4. Add the green bell peppers, red bell peppers, green peas, vienna sausages, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 30 minutes.
