Traditional Chinese steamed egg cake or ji dan gao (Chinese: 鸡蛋糕) is made with 3 simple ingredients: eggs, sugar and plain flour. However, the egg cake is usually dry. This recipe has added some oil and plain water to yield a moister cake.
