*** Energy bites ***
^ makes 16-18 bites
– 1 cup rolled (or old fashioned oats)
– 1/2 cup almonds (or nut of choice)
– 16-18 Deglet Noor Dates or about 10 medjool dates
(you want to use enough to make the batter sticky. depending on the moisture content of your dates, you may want to use more or less)
Combine all dry ingredients in a food processor, then add in dates. Once the batter forms into a ball, break off into individual sized portions. I made 18 balls but you could make them smaller or larger!
These are SO VERSATILE. You can add a ton of things in the batter and also roll them in so many different things… get creative y’all!
Optional Add ins for the batter:
– chocolate chips (use peanuts instead of almond to make a choc pb version!)
– dried fruit (craisins, raisins, mango etc)
– dried coconut
– chia seeds
– flax seeds
– hemp seeds
– pumpkin seeds
– cinnamon/ pumpkin pie spice
– maca powder
Optional Ingredients to roll the bites in:
– cocoa powder
– shredded coconut
– cinnamon sugar
– powdered peanut butter
*** Easy 5 minute hummus ***
– 1 can of garbanzo beans (drained)
– 1-2 T tahini
– juice of 1/2 a lemon (or lime)
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp onion powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 cup unsweetened plant milk or water (may need more)
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth, adding more or less liquid depending on your preference.
You can add other flavorings to this hummus recipe, it is just a base recipe! Optional add-ins include but are not limited to:
– Roasted red pepper (or TJ red pepper dip)
– Topping with everything bagel seasoning (thats what I used in the video)
– Franks hot sauce
– Roasted garlic cloves
– Garlic Hummus
– Olive Tapenade
– TJ Bruchetta
… and many more! If you have any ideas, leave them in the comments!
