Chili pepper oil is a common condiment made from vegetable oil, often soybean oil or canola oil, that has been infused with chili pepper powder.
Chili oil is popular in Chongqing cuisine and Sichuan cuisine, which can be consumed directly with other food,
such as wonton in red oil, noodle dishes and in salads.
Ingredients: dried chili pepper, white sesame, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, Sichuan peppercorn and bay leaf.
Instruction: fry dried chili pepper; turn pepper into powder in blender; heat vegetable oil in a frying pan; stir chili pepper powder with hot oil.
