Mushrooms are fleshy and edible fruit bodies of several species of macrofungi. They can appear either below the ground or above the ground where they may be picked by hand. It is low in Saturated fat and sodium and very low in cholesterol. Also contains Dietary fiber, Protein, vitamin C & D, Folate, Manganese, Iron & Zinc.
Thiamin, Riboflavin, Selenium etc.. are also found in the Mushrooms.
What goes in :
Mushrooms – 300G
Cooking Oil – 3 Tablespoons
Butter – 50G
Onion – 1 Medium Size
Tomato – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tablespoon
Turmeric – 1 Teaspoon
Green Chillies – 5 Small
Corriander Powder – 1 Tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tablespoon
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tablespoon
Salt – As per taste
Garlic Cloves – 4
How to cook :
Heat cooking oil in a pan. Put all the Indian Masalas into the pan as shown in the video.
As and when the masalas become reddish brown, put the chopped onions and green chillies into the pan.
Then add salt, turmeric and allow to saute for about 5 mins or until the onions become golden brown.
Then add chopped tomato as shown in the video and allow it to cook for about 10 mins.
Then add cut mushrooms to the gravy. Add two cups of water and cook for another 5 minutes.
In a separate pan, add butter.
Add chopped garlic cloves, red chilli powder, corriander powder. Allow this to cook for a minute ( Don’t burn the butter ).
Now, add the butter masala to the mushroom gravy prepared before.
Cook for another 5 minutes.
Delicious Mushroom Masala is ready !!
