Papaya Thoran – vegetarian side dish | Kerala Cuisine Recipes

Thoran is a dry dish from Kerala traditionally made of finely chopped vegetables such as cabbage, yardlong bean and other bean varieties and leafy vegetables. Served with rice, thoran is an inevitable side dish of Kerala Sadya. Thoran preparations have regionally variations like the traditional recipes made in the Northern parts of Kerala do not use garlic, but in Southern Kerala garlic and onion are used.
