Learn how to make this very quick, easy, and healthy Steamed Cupcakes that you can prepare for snacks or merienda that kids will surely love.
Steamed Cupcakes Ingredients:
2 cups self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 small egg, beaten
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup evaporated milk
12 pieces of puto molds
Yield: 12 pieces of cupcakes
How To Make Steamed Cupcakes:
1. In a mixing bowl, sift the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, add evaporated milk and sugar. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Add the beaten egg and vegetable oil. Stir well.
4. Combine the sifted flour and baking powder to the mixture.
5. Lightly brush each puto mold with butter or vegetable oil.
6. Pour the cupcake mixture into each mold until it is 75% full.
7. In a steamer with boiling water, steam the cupcakes for 12 minutes.
8. Remove cupcakes from steamer and allow to cool.
9. Remove steamed cupcakes from molds before serving.
Serve steamed cupcakes with hot or cold milk.
