vegetable sambar recipe | quick mixed veg sambar recipe | South Indian Sambar recipe

*take a cooker and add
1 cup toordal and wash

*add 3 cups water
and pressure cook for 3-5 whistles

*take a lemon size tamarind, and wash
add water and boil and squeeze off the juice.
                    or
to prepare tamarind juice soak a small lemon size
tamarind in one cup of warm water and
squeeze off the juice.

*Dal cooked well

*in a utensil add 1 tbsp oil and 1/2 tsp
mustard seeds,5 methi seeds,pinch hing, few
curry leaves allow to splutter

*1 small onion sliced ,2 green chillies
slit lengthwise.add pinch turmeric
and salute

*add chopped 1 large tomato 🍅
add salt to taste.and salute

*add chopped vegetables
carrot, potato, Brinjal
and salute 2-3 mins

*use vegetables of your
choice like drumstick,
radish….

*add water, mix well cover and boil 15 – 20
mins on medium flame

*once vegetables are cooked well add
coriander leaves, and add
tamarind juice add cooked dal
and mix well

*add small piece of jaggery

*add 2-3 tsp Sambar powder
and mix well

*add chilli powder
to taste, mix well and boil

*vegetable sambar is ready
and serve with hot steamed rice.
