Date & Walnut Filling. Based on Alice Medrich’s recipe.
Ingredients To make 2 cups of filling
Moist, soft dates, pitted and chopped – 2 cups
Soft unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons
Pinch of salt
Water – 3-4 tablespoons(plus more as needed)
2 fresh Oranges, preferably organic
Walnuts – toasted and chopped – 1 cup
